JD is one of China’s largest e-commerce platforms, serving hundreds of millions of users.
I led UX design for JD Live and core commerce features — including Global Shopping, Coupons, Rankings, Flash Sales, and Fresh Market — creating a more cohesive and engaging mobile shopping experience.
What I Did
As Senior UX Designer, I was responsible for defining the user architecture and interaction systems for JD’s mobile app.
I collaborated closely with product managers, developers, and data teams to design large-scale commerce experiences while standardizing mobile interaction guidelines across multiple business units.
- Led UX for JD Live, designing the architecture and interaction framework for the live-streaming ecosystem.
- Created unified design patterns for Global Shopping, Coupons, Rankings, Flash Sales, and Fresh Market — improving cross-feature usability and consistency.
- Established and standardized JD’s mobile interaction guidelines, adopted company-wide to streamline future design processes.

These initiatives enhanced JD’s mobile shopping experience for millions of users, improving engagement and conversion across key commerce features.
Working within a large, fast-paced product organization deepened my understanding of how cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decisions, and business logic come together in e-commerce design — where every interaction directly connects to value creation.
